Stephanie Howard started with Snelling Staffing Services in Savannah, Georgia in 1995 and opened the Birmingham, Alabama office in 1998. She specializes in the placement of professional, administrative and office positions on a temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire basis. Stephanie has been recognized nationally throughout her tenure as a Snelling Recruiter of the Year, Staffing Specialist of the Year, member of the Staffing Team of the Year, and Account Manager of the Year. She is a Certified Personnel Consultant and member of the Alabama Staffing Association. As President of Career and Staffing Solutions, Inc. dba Snelling Staffing Services, Stephanie gained certification as a Woman Owned Business by WBENC in 2009.
Stephanie serves on the AOM Advisory Board for Virginia College in Birmingham and the Family Self Sufficiency Program Committee for the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District. She is a frequent speaker on job search techniques for the Department of Human Resources, Easter Seals, local colleges and other programs. Stephanie is a 1989 graduate of Auburn University with a Business/Marketing Degree.

David has been with Snelling Staffing Services since he and Stephanie opened the Birmingham, Alabama office in 1998. He specializes in the placement of Professional, Office Clerical and Light Industrial positions on a temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire basis. David has been recognized nationally throughout his tenure as a Snelling Recruiter of the Year, Staffing Specialist of the Year, Manager of the Year and Regional Manager of the Year in the Snelling Network. He is a Certified Personnel Consultant and member of the Alabama Staffing Association. David is responsible for staff development, strategic planning, operations and implementation of company goals and objectives. Ben Howard, CSP
Ben has been with Snelling since 2007, initially working as a Staffing Manager and Light Industrial Division Manager. He has extensive experience recruiting, screening, placing and managing temporary and temp-to-hire candidates. He is a Certified Staffing Professional and frequent award winner at Snelling’s National Annual Convention. As Operations Manager, Ben oversees the Light Industrial and Office Services Divisions, handles all Human Resource functions including onboarding, development of client specific safety orientations, payroll, insurance, workers’ compensation, office technology needs, reporting and accounting functions. Elise joined the Snelling office in 2008 as a Business Development Manager. She quickly earned recognition by being awarded “Rookie of the Year”. She has since changed roles to lead the professional recruiting division, a team that specializes in career level placements. An Engineer by trade with over 10 years of sales experience, she now specializes in Engineering and Sales positions. She’s an Auburn graduate with Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and a Minor in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, teaching aerobics, and talking about herself in the third person. Sonya Ellis joined Snelling Staffing Services of Birmingham, Alabama in 2011. She has over 14 years in the staffing and recruiting industry. In fact, she worked for Snelling Staffing Services in Akron, OH in the early 90’s. Her background includes sales and management. Sonya also has 7 years of retail management and sales experience. Jamie has worked with Snelling since 2007, and joined the Birmingham team in March 2015. She specializes in temporary and permanent placement of light industrial and administrative positions. She is a Western Kentucky University graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources which has helped her excel with interviewing techniques and recruiting qualified candidates.. Joni King joined Snelling in July 2016 as our Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. She serves as our first point of contact for candidates and handles all paperwork in addition to assisting our team with projects and all things creative. Chris Hobbs joined the Snelling team in 2019 and works closely with temporary and temporary-to-hire placements for light industrial and administrative positions. He enjoys seeing new faces every day and helping candidates and clients in any way that he can. Chris graduated from Samford University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. He has a strong background in client service, sales and community involvement. In his spare time, Chris enjoys fishing, quality time with his wife and dog, and anything related to Auburn Football.

Whittney Taylor started with Snelling in 2017 as a Staffing Assistant and recently moved up to a Staffing Manager role. She specializes in office and industrial placements and also assists with the pre-employment/onboarding process for our candidates. Whittney is a graduate of Stillman College with a bachelors in Psychology and also holds a graduate certificate in Human Resource Management from Walden University.
